 ART STATEMENT

In the face of promises not kept, my art is the manifest of rising hope, the eternal construction of a free spirit. Appealing to the imagination and emotions, my art carries the determined voice of powerful dialectic created by intense oppositions. It represents a dynamic vitality.

Synthesizing the diametrically opposite principles of “Clair Obscur” (light and shadow) with “Colorism” in a revolutionary manner; I build unique forms by pure colors with dominant brush strokes on a solid black background. I call it "Colormania". Finding its roots in a mathematical base, the sharp geometrical codes of the rhythms are perfectly balanced with strikingly holistic forms. The creative process behind it is very profound and painful until I completely find the unity between the movement of colors and brush strokes in correct proportions. The bold rhythm of the contrasts is quite remarkable. The passionate language of my strong colors has a vigorous philosophical depth. It is the universal call of my warrior soul declaring that the uncompromising commitment to beliefs is the only way to freedom.

I have a sketching technique unique to myself as well. I call it “The Black &White Stories”. It is the expanded form of my sketches that I illustrated on textbooks back in school days. From daily life to mythology it has a very wide range of content. It is the visualization of my literature not through my words but the images on canvas. The continuous repetitions of simple shapes create a chaotic sense of eternity. This spontaneous flow generates a poetic mystery, inspiring the viewer to discover the hidden story behind it. The more one looks, the more one sees. However, its viewing is a challenging exploration. It is an engaging journey that gives the viewer the freedom to write their own stories through it.“The Black &White Stories” is my idealist scream. It is the true voice of my imaginary world that gives me the solid motivation of life. The main focus of both of my techniques is to speak my own words. In short; my art is my very existence.
